Release of Ultra-Low Power 32-bit Microcontrollers by Renesas
Renesas Electronics earlier this month has released its first series of 32-bit microcontrollers with embedded flash memory featuring an ultra-low power and wide-voltage operation. The new RX200 series is a ideal fit for low-voltage embedded MCU applications including smart meters, portable healthcare devices, smartphones, intelligent sensors to name a few. In addition to this the new series are ideal for appliances by operating up to 5.5 V and having specialized motor control capabilities, complying with the IEC 60730 appliance safety standard. The first group of this new series of MCU is RX210 group with flash memory from 128 KB to 512 KB, an 8 KB E2 data flash with 100,000 erase cycles, and up to 64 KB of SRAM. Read more
