A Japanese Start-up company by name of SIM-Drive Corporation has successfully developed an electric vehicle (EV) with a driving range of 333 KM per charge. The new EV with nickname of SIM-LEI, where LEI stands for Leading Efficiency In-Wheel motor, achieves this target using 24.5kWh capacity Lithium-ion (Li-ino) battery. Development of Electric Drive System to be used in Electric Scooters
Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd. and Suzuki Motor Corporation have co-developed Electric Drive System featuring a high performance in-wheel motor in addition to high efficiency control circuit which was developed by Sanyo.
