Release of SuperH 32-bit Microcontrollers featuring Connectivity Functions such as USB for Car and Home Audio Systems as well as Industrial Equipment
Renesas Elcetronics has announced the release of 6 new 32-bit microcontrollers (MCUs) with an aim to reduce system development cost of products such as car and home audio systems as well as industrial equipment with USB/Bluetooth support. The new SH726A and SH726B MCUs feature a compact package with lower pin count. The new MCUs are equipped with a new bus controller for connection to quad-SPI flash ROM (serial type), which uses fewer connection pins, as external flash memory supports direct data access. This will result in significant reduction in number of pins required for connection while maintaining access speeds equivalent to conventional parallel NOR flash. Read more
Development of Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors by TDK-EPC
This is a new series of multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC) with C0G temperature characteristics and a rated voltage of 50 V by TDK-EPC. The new MLCC are 60% smaller than existing products offering a same capacitance. The new products with three times the capacitance of existing TDK MLCCs, has the industry’s highest capacitance in the 50 V rated voltage range of C0G. Read more
Development of SMD Positive Temperature Coefficient Thermistors by TDK-EPC
TDK-EPC has successfully developed SMD Series PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) thermistors for limit temperature measurement. The new thermistors come in case sizes of 0805, 0603 and 0402. They are designed for over temperature protection in industrial equipment as well as consumer and automotive electronics and IT applications. They have response temperatures from 70 to 145 degrees Celsius in steps of 10K depending on the series. Read more
