Release of 65-Inch Self-emitting “Interactive Plasma Display” for Business and Educational Environment by Panasonic
Panasonic has recently released a 65-inch self-emitting plasma display panels, and a new electronic pen system allowing user to write quickly and draw with up to four electronic pens simultaneously. The new TH-65PB1 interactive plasma display offers user superb visibility and operability based on advantages of self-emitting plasma panel displays, which includes a large screen, rich color expression, wide viewing angle as well as high-speed response, make the new TH-65PB1 ideal for interactive display applications but also for use as a meeting room monitor. The TH-65PB1 can be installed horizontally or vertically. When installed vertically, it can display a whole page of digital textbooks on the screen. Other application for the new display includes dividing the screen into two areas, where the upper section showing images and lower section used as an electronic whiteboard. Supporting the wireless connection, the new plasma display can be used as a presentation monitor for meetings or lectures to display electronic data stored in information terminals such as personal computers without any requirements for cables. The electronic pen system features a drive systems capable of detecting and displaying the pen position at 60 times per second with respect to each pixel in full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 : 2.07 million pixels). As a result of this the location of the pen tip coincides with the drawing point providing smooth and natural writing, and fine lines and characters which can be displayed clearly. Further to this the electronic pens are designed with weight balance for easy gripping and feature multifunction buttons on it, allowing users to perform basic operations without the use of tool bar on the panel, including display of drawing menu and mouse operations. Other features on the new display is the ability to display moving and still images in multiple PCs, displaying of content in iOS devices on large screen. The new display is equipped with SLOT 2.0 function slot, allowing to mount HDMI and DVI terminal boards and digital tuner boards (sold separately).
