Introduction of AF-S NIKKOR an Ultra Wide Angle 16-35 FX-format compatible zoom lens by NIKON
Nikon has unveiled the AF-S NIKKOR 16-35mm f/4G ED VR, the world’s first ultra wide angle 16-35mm FX-format compatible zoom lens with built-in vibration reduction (VR II). The new lens is a new category in NIKKOR lenses. The VR II offers camera shake compensation which is equivalent to a shutter speed increase of approximately four stops and a silent Wave Motor (SWM), plus it supports the maximum aperture of f/4 through the full range of focal lengths. Introduction of Two New Compact and Two New Globe LED Lamps by SHARP
Sharp made an announcement on introduction of two new E17 compact LED Lamps (DL-J40AN/L) and two new E26 Globe LED Lamps (DL-L81AN/L), where all models are compatible with dimmers for adjusting brightness. The addition of the new models will bring the Sharps total LED Lamp line-up to total of 13 models. The E-17 compact models are made based on company’s proprietary LED devices and are based on high density surface mounting technology for achieving a compact size with a brightness which equals the Sharp’s existing E-26 LED lamps (Sharp models DL-L40AN/L). Nikon has released two new Lens products one is AF-S Teleconverter TC-20E III, world’s first telephoto converter utilizing an aspherical lens element capable of extending focal length by 2 times, and AF-S NIKKOR 300mm f/2.8G ED VR II ,a fast telephoto lens offering built-in Vibration Reduction (VR II) capable of reducing the effects of camera shake equivalent to a shutter speed increase of approximately four stops. Introduction of Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Plastics in Lexus LFA
Toho Tenax, the core company of the Teijin Group’s fiber business, made an announcement on use of its carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) in various component of newly unveiled Lexus LFA, Lexus “F” premium sports car series by Toyota during this year Tokyo Motor Show. The CFRP will be used in total of 65 percent of the Lexus LFA’s cabin resulting in 100 kilogram of weight reduction in cabin weigh in comparison to aluminum made cabin, while maintaining high rigidity required by the manufacturer.
