Use of Magnetic Nanoparticles for One segment broadcasting antenna

April 3, 2009 · Filed Under Trendy Products · 1 Comment

The magnetic materials for shortening the radio wavelength have been used for a long time such as antennas for AM radios that is made of magnetic ferrite. But at high frequencies magnetic materials absorb radio waves resulting in magnetic losses making it difficult to use such materials in high frequency antennas. At a joint research consisting of Sumitomo Osaka Cement Co Ltd of Japan and Professor Tadahiro Ohmi, Future Information Industry Creation Center, NICHe, Tohoku University of Japan a magnetic material for antenna was developed using Fe-Ni alloy nanoparticles.
