Elpida Memory has announced the development of the smallest DRAM chip in the industry. The new DRAM chip has been manufactured based on ultra fine-width process migration technology, achieving a circuit line width of 25 nanometers (nm). The new 25nm based DRAM is a DDR3 SDRAM with a memory capacity of 2-gigabits. Company is expecting to have the 25nm based 4-gigabit DDR3 SDRAM commercially avaialbe by the end of 2011. Read more

Alps Electric has introduced a new SCGC1B03 Series, an 8-pin SIM card connector targeted to be used in mobile phones as well as car navigation systems. The new SIM card connector is industry’s first connector capable of automatically locking the card in when inserted to prevent accidental ejection.
