Renesas Electronics and Renesas Mobile have announced the of a new image recognition system-on-chip (SoC). The new SH7766 SoC features all the functionality required to implement camera based surround view system as well as display of crucial information such as lanes, signs and marking, pedestrians, vehicles, etc. The new functions on this new SoC is ideal for such applications as clear and easily distinguishable top-view virtual camera visualization using different viewpoints to display the changing surroundings all in real-time.
