Development of Industry’s Lowest Power Flash Microcontroller By Oki Semiconductor
Oki Semiconductor has introduced Industry’s lowest power 8 bit flash microcontroller. The ML61Q400 series of 8-bit microcontrollers are capable of operating from 1.1V, as well as the current consumption of only 0.5uA during clock OFF. The 3-stage pipeline architecture on these microcontroller enables performance that is equivalent to a conventional 16 bit microcontroller. Read more
Development and Volume Production of Postage Stamp Size Fingerprint Authentication module by OKI Semiconductor
Oki Semiconductor made an announcement on development and high volume production of a compact postage stamp sized finger print authentication module. The newly developed MK67Q5250 LSI will allow designers to add the module and interact with it over a simple physical and logical interface with little impact to the existing system where previously required design and procurement of hardware as well as need for development of software around the fingerprint sensor and processing engine plus the development of a new board. Development of image adjustment LSI by OKI Semiconductor
Among the various electronic devices with display system vehicle mounted camera system in particular have seen an increasing demand in worldwide scale. Furthermore, among display system for such camera system, demand for car audio systems with TFT LCDs is expected to grow due to growing awareness for ubiquitous car navigation systems. Currently, due to its cost effectiveness many audio systems with display panels are simply built by just adding a display monitor to an existing car audio system but optimizing the image quality in such system is technically challenging. In response to this challenge OKI Semiconductor has developed an image adjustment LSI incorporating a Timing Controller (TCON) targeted at small to mid sized TFT LCDs. Read more
Development of the world’s smallest video decoder by OKI
Demand for security and surveillance video system is on the rise but these system very often must fit into a small spaces requiring compact video recorders capable of operating from a single compact power supply. To satisfy this demand OKI Semiconductor has developed the world’s smallest video decoder LSI. The ML86V76651 features a low power consumption and support for three TV signal formats namely NTSC, PAL and SECAM. The ML86V76651 using a single power supply of 1.8V with an ultra compact size of 3.8 x 3.7 mm W-CSP (Wafer-level Chip Size Package) which is 60% smaller than conventional mold packages. Read more
