Olympus has announced the launch of MK Modular Mini-Scopes. The new industrial endoscopes come with modular design, where they can be disassembled into three separate units. The new endoscopes are optical instruments with small diameter insertion tubes. These mini borescopes are used mainly for checking burring in automotive fuel injection parts after machining, as a regular procedure in production line operations. Read more

Olympus has announced the release of IPLEX YS industrial videoscope featuring air articulation and industry first laser light source. The new IPLEX YS features an extra long 30m insertion tube. Further to this, the new IPLEX YS industrial videoscope comes with high-tech optimization for long-tube operation, including gravity sensors to indicate orientation. Olympus has unveiled the summer model of its FE-Series compact digital camera, FE-505. The slim and stylish FE-5050 features a 14-megapixel CCD, 5X zoom lens from ultra-wide-angle 26mm plus Six Magic Filters. This user friendly camera comes with load of features, including iAUTO function that automatically optimizes the camera setting by analyzing the scene. The new FE-5050 comes with TruePicIII image processing engine. Olympus made and announcement on development of a new nondestructive testing and quality measurement device. The new 38DL PLUS Ultrasonic Thickness Gage, allows objects to be inspected without any needs for destruction or disassembly. The testing devices are used for quality inspections of products made form plastic, metal, glass, composites, as well as various other type of materials. Introduction of Two New Industrial Videoscopes by OLYMPUS
Made to be used as non-destructive inspection systems for a wide range of maintenance oriented application including the inspection of aircraft engine, industrial plant as well as piping inside commercial buildings and condominium complexes, the two new long scope models of videoscope recently developed by Olympus have an effective length of 10 meters and an external diameter of 8.5mm. The two new models, namely, IPLEX LX IV88100L1 and IPLEX LT IV88100L2 industrial videoscope are equipped with LED lights in the interchangeable optical tip adapters, resulting in six times brighter illumination than those in the existing 6mm LED-lit videoscopes, allowing its users to view wide areas when looking into a large cavities such as inside a large pipe and tanks. Olympus Imaging Corporation has unveiled its rugged style compact digital camera. The newly developed µTOUGH-3000 comes with all the characteristic of rugged product which are waterproof, shockproof, dustproof as well as freezeproof. The new µTOUGH-3000 can be submerged to a depth of 3 meters and shock resistance when it is dropped from a height of 1.5 meters, plus it can be operated at a temperature as low as -10 degrees Celsius. In addition to its tough feature, the new µTOUGH-3000 capable of HDTV (1280 x 720 pixels) movie recording due to its support for MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 movie compression format. OLYMPUS Unveils its 2010 New Compact Digital Camera
Packed with features, Olympus’s new µ-7040 ,pocket size 7X zoom camera, features a 28mm wide-angle shooting and HD movie recording capability bond to be released by end of January 2010. The new µ-7040 comes with large capacity 2 GB built-in memory enabling photo-surfing on the large 3-inch high resolution LCD screen through use of new [ib] PC software.
