Panasonic new HIT Solar CellPanasonic has announced record breaking 25.6% conversion efficiency for its HIT solar cells. It is a small increase from company’s February 2013 announcement of 24.7% but every little bit counts. The new record has been made possible through further development of Panasonic’s proprietary heterojunction technology and by adopting a back-contact solar cell structure, with the electrodes on the back of the solar cell allowing efficient utilization of sunlight.
