With a shift in interconnection method form wire bonding to flip chip, with further reduction in thickness of IC substrate materials in compact mobile devices, one of the major technical issues that manufacturers are faced with is how to reduce the warpage of IC substrate materials. Launch of Eco-Friendly PV Mounted POP Power Supply System by DNP
Dai Nippon Printing has announced the launch of new POP power supply system capable of recycling the power form in-house lighting through its mounted PV panels on merchandise display cases. The new POP will provide an easy installation throughout the store without having to think about the location of electrical outlets. The expected price tag for newly developed eco-friendly POP is less than 200,000 JPY, which includes a set of 10 POP with LED, a photovoltaic panel and distributor. Read more
NEC Display Unveils a New 43-inch Bar-Type Display for Digital Signage Market
NEC Display Solution of America has introduced a new 43-inch bar-type LCD display. The X431BT is a new addition to company’s X Series LCD display, specially designed to offer digital signage solution to the businesses that do not have an environment for standard-size screens, such as transportation facilities, quick-service restaurants and retail stores. Furthermore, the new X431BT extends the messaging options through DisplayPort, HDMI and DVI-D connectivity. The bar-type display can be used for various type of content, which include menu boards, scrolling text as well as advertisement for new promotions. To further accommodate client with displaying information in different modes, the new X431BT can be set in Picture in Picture (PIP), Picture on Picture (POP) and side-by-side modes, where the two contents can be displayed simultaneously in any of these modes through either maintaining one aspect ratio or by evenly stretching both images to fill each half of the screen.
