Development of Fingerprint Authentication LSI by OKI Semiconductor
OKI Semiconductor has developed a fingerprint authentication LSI/module, providing a convenient biometrics with small mounting area. The new LSI offers a low overall system cost through its built-in flash memory for storing fingerprint data, eliminating any external memories. The new LSI, offers a 0.8s (1:1) authentication time, with a high security functions that efficiently prevent unauthorized access to enrolled fingerprint data. Read more
Development of 12.1-inch XGA Color TFT-LCD Module by Mitsubishi
Mitsubishi Electric today made an announcement on development of 12.1 inch XGA color TFT LCD module featuring a reduced size and thickness of 10% and 20% respectively in comparison to the previous model. The new AA121XL01 offers a high brightness of up to 1,000 cd/m2 plus a longer backlight life through incorporation of white LED and its inverter-less construction. The minimum backlight lifespan is 60,000 hours at the 25 degrees Celsius. Additionally, the inverter-less construction helps in eliminating any needs high-voltage inverters resulting in lowering the final product cost. Read more
