Murata Manufacturing has announced the commercialization of industry’s lowest tolerance (±3°C) Overheat Detection Thermistor series. The new 1005 size (1.0×0.5 mm) 1k? Series are ideal for overheat detection of LED lights, power control, overheat detection?for MOSFET in notebook PCs dispersed power source DC-DC converter and overheat detection for MOSFET in lithium ion battery protection circuit, as well as overheat detection and power control of inverters and coils in motors. Development of SMD Positive Temperature Coefficient Thermistors by TDK-EPC
TDK-EPC has successfully developed SMD Series PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) thermistors for limit temperature measurement. The new thermistors come in case sizes of 0805, 0603 and 0402. They are designed for over temperature protection in industrial equipment as well as consumer and automotive electronics and IT applications. They have response temperatures from 70 to 145 degrees Celsius in steps of 10K depending on the series. Read more
