R&D effort toward Development of a Hybrid Car Carrier using Natural Energy

Sanyo hybrid car carrier1Well, it would be a shame to see all those giant car carriers burning fossil fuel while carrying electric Cars and Hybrid automobiles to oversees. After all, carrying the vehicle itself is part of CO2 emission cycle, even though the actual vehicle is not part of burning the fuel. To address this issue, through an initiative by Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, there will be joint R&D effort by Sanyo Electric, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in developing a Hybrid Car Carrier in an effort to reduce CO2 emission form hew ships. Read more
