Release of New 32-bit Microcontrollers for 3-Phase Inverter Motor Control in EV and HV
Fujitsu Semiconductor America has released series of new 32-bit microcontrollers (MCUs) capable of high-speed and efficient control of 3-phase inverter motor control in electric vehicle (EV) and hybrid vehicle (HV). The new series of MCUs are capable of highly efficient loopback control using a high-speed, dedicated 12-bit A/D converter and Resolver-to-Digital Converter (RDC) as well as best torque control. The new MB91580 MCUs generates the required motor control parameters to accurately detect motor current and position at high speeds, in achieving a precise motor control waveform generation. Release of 52 New ARM Cortex M3 Core Microcontrollers for Home Appliances, Office Automation and Digital Consumer Products by Fujitsu Semiconductor
Fujitsu Semiconductor America has extended its 32-bit microcontrollers (MCUs) lineup, by introducing 52 new ARM Cortex M3 Core based products designed for home appliance, office automation, as well as digital consumer products. The new products are part of Fujitsu’s FM3 family of controllers which company announced on Nov. 2010. The new product lineup offers embedded NOR flash memory from 64KB to 512KB designed for 100,000 write cycles which can retain data for up to 20 years, plus an increase in package options from 64-pin to 112-pin. Release of Three New Intelligent Power Devices for Automotive Lighting Application by Renesas Electronics
Renesas Electronics has announced the release of three new compact and lightweight lighting control units for automotive lighting system. The new intelligent Power devices (IPDs) integrate into its single package Power MOSFETs as its switching elements, and control circuits for protection and self-diagnostic functions. The new IPDs comprises of uPD166011 with 12-pin power HSSOP package and two output channels with an on-state resistance of 25 milliohms; the uPD166013 with the 12-pin power HSSOP package and two output channels with an on-state resistance of 60 milliohms as well as uPD166014 with a 24-pin power HSSOP package and four output channels with an on-state resistance of 60 milliohms. Sharp has announced today, the expansion of its line of digital full-color MFPs, namely the MX-4110FN, MX-4111FN, MX-5110FN, and MX-5111FN. Tamron has released two new 1/3” format 2.8-8mm F/1.2 Vari-Focal lenses which are compatible with 3-Mega-pixel-Day/Night cameras, delivering full high definition 1080p images over the entire focal length range, both in visible as well as near-infrared light ranges. Release of New Coating System for Large Flat Panel Displays by Dainippon Screen
Dainippon Screen Mfg, made an announcement on development of a new coating systems to be used in manufacturing of large glass substrates. The newly developed Levicoater, is a new coating system incorporating levitated transfer technology and coating technology. The new Levicoater will be incorporated in SK series coater/developers for flat panel displays (FPDs). The new system lifts the glass substrate using pressurized air and moves it as a fixed nozzle photoresist. The new coating system features a 20% improvement in productivity, while reducing the photoresist use by up to 20%. Read more

Nikon Vision, a subsidiary of Nikon has introduced Laser 1000A S, a new laser rangefinder with a golf mode feature. The new 1000A S in addition to displaying the actual distance, height and horizontal distance, is capable of displaying slope-adjusted distance in the viewfinder, a useful feature, helping user to easily understand the distance to the target in a hilly surroundings. The new 1000A S’s Golf mode is a slope-adjusted distance and actual distance mode. The golf mode is among the several display mode cycle on this newly released laser rangefinder. Mitsubishi Electric has announced the release of two new models of indium gallium phosphide (InGap) based hetrojunction bipolar transistors (HBT) to be used for reception systems in satellite digital radios. The new devices come with a 4-pin full-mold package and are ideal for second or third stages of low noise amplifiers for L to C band (0.5 to 6 GHz) applications. Satellite digital audio radio services (SDARS) are used in vehicle audio systems to access traffic information, entertainment programs and other information services which are commonly used in North America requiring no tuning to adapt to regional broadcasting system such as analog radio services.
