Release of ZigBee Compatible Remote Control and Receiver by SMK
SMK has announced the development of a remote control and receiver with company’s RF module which contains a built-in 2.4GHz band antenna compatible with ZigBee™ RF4CE1 for use in regular remote controls. The newly developed remote control is capable of N-to-N high reliability two-way communication, low power consumption, co-existence with other 2.4GHz band RF as well as security settings. The remote control comes in a form factor of 131mm x 58mm x 17mm and the receiver come in a dimension of 24mm x 16mm x 8mm. The receiver has a USB interface. The transmission distance is at minimum of 10 meter, with frequency range of 2400 to 2483.5MHz. The remote control has a supply voltage of 2.1 to 3.4 VDC, and for the receiver is 4.4 to 5.25 VDC. Release of Motion Control Sensor based Remote Control by SMK
SMK has released an egg shape remote control that has incorporated a motion control sensor. The RCTA6 motion control sensor is based on Freespace ® motion technology developed by US Company, Hillcrest Labs. Contrary to conventional cursor key operations, the user can simply operate applications on internet and select and record TV programs via a TV screen with this wireless mouse, through its 2.4GHz wireless communication system.
