Alps announced the release of high-precision latch 2-phase output type magnetic sensor. The new super compact sensor combines two capabilities within single package, enabling to detect rotation speed as well as direction, helping to reduce number of sensors required for a non-contact encoder while saving space inside automotive equiment.. The new HGPRDT series exhibits high robustness against gap variation achieved by adopting highly sensitive elements and it can be used as a non-contact encoder.
