SANYO Unveils its Lighter Version of eneloop Rechargeable Batteries
Here is yet another marketing tactic by Sanyo to sell its eneloop battery in an already lucrative and competitive world wide market. This time Sanyo targets the lower market segment, the remote controls and alarm clocks, a less power hungry devices sort of speaking, the market that has been dominated by regular, non-rechargeable, cheap dry cell batteries. Sanyo calls them “eneloop lite” and it comes in AA and AAA size. The company sells the pack of 2 (AA) and 2 (AAA) at prices of 780 and 640 JPY respectively. But the lower price means lower capacity. Launch of New models of “eneloop bike” with enhanced charging capability by SANYO
Sanyo released its new models of “eneloop bike” lineup of electric hybrid bicycles capable of self recharging while being used. The new models, CY-SPL226 and CY-SPL224, feature industry’s first “Eco Charge Mode” for more efficient regenerative charging capability. Up to now, the charging function which company refers to it as “Loop Charge” which enables charging while riding the bicycle was limited to going on down hill stretches or during deceleration. Introduction of a New Stylish Horizontal Full HD Dual Camera Xacti by SANYO
Here is yet another addition to Sanyo’s 2010 Xacti Series Full HD dual video cameras. The new DMX-SH11 a stylish horizontal Xacti model incorporating 35-mm wide angle lens with high power 30x “Advanced Zoom” function. With the new Advanced Zoom function, the video filming area on the image sensor has been enlarged from approximately 2-Megapixels (Full HD image area) to approximately 3.5-Megapixels. Read more

Release of New Full HD Dual Digital Camera Xacti by SANYO
Sanyo is at it again by introducing yet another slim and compact dual digital video camera in its Xacti Series of cameras. The new DMX-CG110 in addition to taking Full HD videos, is capable of capturing 14-Megapixel still photos. The DMX-CG110 high resolution video and still image capability is due to combination new high-speed image processing engine, along with optimizing performance through use of Sanyo’s CMOS image sensors. Furthermore, the image processing algorithm architecture was revised along with optimization of signal processing systems in improving such functions as noise reduction plus improvement in power consumption efficiency. Eneloop Music Booster by SANYO
Sanyo Electric now part of Panasonic Corporation just added yet another product to its eneloop universe product lineups. The eneloop music booster is a rechargeable DC 9V battery unit made for music devices. Normally, an AC adapter or 9V dry-cell battery is used in powering music equipment including effects units, amps, graphic equalizers and multi-track recorders operating using 9-volt DC power source. However, using AC adapters require electrical outlets plus nearby electrical equipment may result in noise interference. Alternatively, using 9V batteries in such occasion like during music performance may result in use of lot of batteries in order to provide an uninterrupted performance. Read more
Development of World’s First Inverter Driven Commercial Freezer with CO2 Refrigerant by SANYO
Conventional CO2 refrigerant circuit become supercritical plus the coefficient of performance (COP) drops to less than HFC based refrigerant circuit when operating under high ambient temperatures such as summer temperature of above 30 degrees Celsius. In response to overcome this problem, Sanyo Electric developed a world’s first inverter driven commercial freezer with CO2 refrigerant. Installation of Solar Parking Lot in Tokyo by SANYO
Sanyo Electric as part of company’s effort in promoting smart energy systems by combining solar panels, rechargeable batteries and electric hybrid bicycles made an announcement that it will install “Solar Parking Lot” in Setagaya Tokyo in Spring of 2010. The solar parking lot will incorporate solar panels and a lithium-ion battery system plus provides electric hybrid bicycles, “eneloop bike“. The solar panels being installed on the roof of the parking shall provide the energy needed for recharging the electric hybrid bicycle batteries plus it will provide power to illuminate the parking lot lights.
