Development of Industry’s Highest Sensitivity 1/3-Type Progressive-Scan CCDs for Security Cameras
Sharp has announced the development of two new 1/3-type progressive-scan CCDs for security cameras with 520 kpixels and 610 kpixels, offering industry’s highest sensitivity of 1,900 mV and lowest smear ratio of -120 dB. The RJ3331AA0PB and RJ3341AA0PB CCDs are based on Sharp’s shrinking technology capable of increasing the image resolution of compact digital cameras, plus innovative design of micro-lens structure capable of maximizing light collection efficiency for the sensor element. The lowest smearing ratio on these newly developed CCDs will help to reduce smearing during shooting video under the strong light source such as headlights at night. Read more
