Development of World’s Smallest and Thinnest Surface Mount Pyroelectric Infrared Sensor by MURATA Manufacturing

Murata Manufacturing made an announcement on development of world’s smallest and thinnest (4.7×4.7×2.4mm) surface mount pyroelectric infrared sensor, “IRS-B series”. The newly developed infrared sensor was response to mass production and cost reduction of reflow surface mount type sensors. Furthermore, it will pave the way for introduction of the human presence sensor for consumer equipment, while contributing in overall reduction of equipment size. Read more
