Development of Ultrasonic imaging sheet

Group of researchers at Tokyo University have developed a prototype of what is referred to as Ultrasonic imaging sheet. This sheet provides an ultrasonic sonar base image sensor which can be used in medical as well as other applications. The sheet itself is made through laminating an organic FET sheet which is made of pentacene a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon also know as an organic semiconductor and a sheet containing array of ultrasonic transmission/reception elements.
