Release of Two New Rugged Color TFT-LCD Module for Industrial use by Mitsubishi Electric
Mitsubishi Electric has released two new 8.4-inch, SVGA and XGA color TFT-LCD modules featuring white LED for long backlight life. The new AA084SB11 and AA084XB11 in company’s DIAFINE Series are made rugged to withstand severe outdoor environments. The new AA084SB11 and AA084XB11 offer super brightness of 1,200 and 1,000 cd/m2 respectively for better visibility in bright, outdoor condition ,and a wide operational temperature range of -30 to 80 degrees Celsius. The choice of white backlight LED offers a longer operational life of 100,000 hours, eliminating any needs for high-voltage inverter. Read more
Development of portable Retinal Imaging Display by Brother
This is the third round of prototyping RID device by Brothers. The first prototype was showcased during the EXPO 2005 in Aichi which came with a huge light box. The second prototype was out at early last year. With a plan for its public launch by 2010, Brother needed to down size the light box and they did exactly that. This time around the size of the power source box is about size of a HD drive which qualifies it to be portable. Read more
