Release of “Panorama Camera 180-View”, Fish-eye lens equipped Security Camera by TAMRON
Tamron has announced the release of “Panorama Camera 180-View”, a new type of security camera equipped with fish-eye lens capable of delivering a 180 degrees horizontal angle of view whereby eliminating any blind spots. Typically, in order to provide an adequate coverage in areas with high security requirements, several security cameras are installed to overcome the blind spot problems. This issue can not be overcome through use of speed dome cameras due to their inherent deficiency in capturing subject instantaneously. Tamron has solved this issue with their newly developed “Panorama Camera 180-View”, thanks to its fish-eye lens capable of delivering a 180 degrees horizontal angle of view, allowing its single camera to capture images free of blind spots. Development of Far-Infrared High-Sensitivity Security Camera and High-Performance Interchangeable Lenses
Far-Infrared (far-IR) cameras for their ability in screening pandemics of infectious diseases have been gaining attention in recent years. Taking advantage of their inherent longer wavelength than visible spectrum infrared sensors is capable of detecting heat and creating images of objects and phenomena that would be impossible to film using a normal-view camera, by minimizing the impact of no lighting at night or obstructing objects such as fog, boosting the marketability of far-IR cameras for security and surveillance applications, where there is an increased needs for improved image recognition. Based on this, Tamron a leading Japanese manufacturer in optical products and security market and NEC Avio Infrared Technologies, leading infrared technology device companies in Japan have jointly developed a new far-IR high sensitivity camera and a series of six high performance interchangeable lenses for use in security applications.
