Dainippon Screen has announced the development of inspection technology for optically visualizing the transparent electrode patterns that are used in the touch screen panels of smartphones and tablet PCs. The new technology will allow the line widths of circuits and film thickness to be measured and inspected. The new technology is capable of detecting differences in the level of light reflection between the transparent electrode film that forms the circuit and the underlying support film. Read more
