Release of DCI Compliant 4K DLP Digital Cinema Projector by NEC Display
Following Sony’s foot step NEC Display Solution of America has announced its version of 4K DLP Digital Cinema Projector. NEC has publicly shown the pre-production model back in October of last year during ShowEast event, but I would assume at that point in time was not DCI compliant, so we have to stick to Sony’s story that their product is the first in lineup to be compliant with this specification being one of the major contributors to this specification. Anyhow, NEC’s NC3240S comes with 1.38-inch 4K DLP Cinema® Chip with curtsy of Texas Instrument® and is fully compliant with DCI. The new projector system comes in two models the 7kW and 4kW, the 7kW version is a single lens projector providing enough brightness to fulfill the NATO and DCI luminance standards for screen size of up to 105-feet wide. The new projectors offer the user a modular design with exceptional ease of maintenance. The new NC3240S features a new cooling system creating positive air pressure internally in preventing contaminants to enter the main chassis. In addition to this the new projectors come with 3D capabilities with special 3D control connector and optional automatic turret to mount polarized in front of lens. NEC differentiates its solution by stating that, they are the only manufacturer in the market to offer a DLP cinema projector/server solution developed completely in-house. Read more
Release of New Compact Projector for Mobile Applications by NEC
NEC Display Solution of America has added to its line-up of NP Value Series projector, a new compact projector. The new NP115 is designed for mobile applications such as classrooms with portable carts or conference rooms requiring lightweight projector at an affordable price. The NP115 offers a brightness of 2500 lumens, sufficient for most standard size rooms, plus their 3D-ready capability that increases its interactivity. The NP115 is based on Texas Instrument DLP engine, offering a contrast ratio of 2000:1. Read more
NEC Unveils its Latest Portable Projector with 3D-Ready Technology
This is another 3D-Ready portable projector based on DLP technology developed by Texas Instrument. The new NEC’s NP216 DLP projector comes with dual VGA inputs, by proving multiple inputs which eliminates the hassle of alternating between computer source from one input. Additionally, it comes with improved RS-232 and RJ45 connections for advanced control and asset management. Read more
