Development of Industry’s Thinnest Soda-lime Glass Substrate for TouchScreen Devices by Asahi Glass

Asahi Glass has announced the development of world’s thinnest soda-lime type glass substrate designed for touchscreens of such devices as smart phones and Tablet PCs. The newly developed glass substrate measures just 0.28 mm, which is 15% less than commercially available substrate at 0.33 mm, while being 15% lighter in weight, a major contributing factor in further miniaturization of smart phones and tablet PCs in the near future.
