Buffalo Japan introduced USB2.0 external hard drive“HD-CXU2 series” with capacities of 500GB, 1TB, 1.5TB and 2TB targeting consumer and SHOHO markets. By just setting password “HD-CXU2 series” users can protect their stored data. Furthermore, the “HD-CXU2 series” is capable of switching to three different security modes by using accessory software “Secure Lock Manager Easy” while keeping data in HDD. The default security mode setting is in normal mode requiring no authentication, however the user can change the setting to encryption modes which require authentication when user access the HDD or when user logs in windows. Here is an interesting product by Sony. Sony’s new released GPS unit “GPS-CS3K” is capable of adding GPS positioning information to your digital pictures. The “GPS-CS3K” automatically records positioning information with timestamp (i.e. GPS logfile) into its built-in memory while you are traveling or cycling helping you to sort out your pictures according to their geographical locations with the help of their GPS log file, just in case if you forgot where you took those memorable photos after your trip.
