Tamron celebrates company’s 60th anniversary with introduction of 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II PZD lens, the world’s lightest and smallest 15x zoom lens featuring Tamron’s first PZD (Piezo Drive) AF for Sony mounts. The new B008 model digital SLR ultra-high-power zoom lens features a 62mm filter diameter and company’s first standing wave ultrasonic motor system for SLR lenses. The motor on this newly released B008 model is faster and quieter than DC motors during the time the AF drive is operating, and compared with ring type ultrasonic motors, it has an actuator which helps with lens design as well as reduced size. Development of Far-Infrared High-Sensitivity Security Camera and High-Performance Interchangeable Lenses
Far-Infrared (far-IR) cameras for their ability in screening pandemics of infectious diseases have been gaining attention in recent years. TAMRON Introduces the World’s Most Compact and Light Weight 15x Zoom Lens
Tamron announced the release of 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD (Piezo Drive), the world’s most smallest and lightest 15x zoom ratio lens, featuring a 62mm filter diameter, VC (Vibration Compensation) image stabilization and company’s first standing wave ultrasonic motor system for SLR lenses, plus a Piezo Drive (PZD).The new lens (model B008) measures only 88mm in length and it weighs only 450 gram. The new PZD offers the user silent, high-speed auto focus, with minimum focusing distance of 0.49m throughout the zoom range and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:3.8. Read more
TAMRON Unveils its High Grade Telephoto Zoom Lens Offering Extra Low Dispersion
Tamron announced the release of full size premium telephoto zoom lens in pursuit of high resolution images in the telephoto lens category. The new 70-300mm F/4-5.6 telephoto lens offers image stabilization VC (Vibration Compensation) as well as an ultrasonic auto-focus drive USD (Ultrasonic Silent Drive).
