Introduction of world’s highest capacity 1.8-inch HDD by Toshiba

Toshiba is at it again and ruggedness seams to be a new addition in list of features that includes power efficient, large storage capacity and fast to name a few. This slim designed 5mm, 1.8-inch HDD features a capacity of 160GB on a single platter which has been calculated based on area density of 723Mbit/mm2 (467 Gbpsi), the industry’s highest by improving the magnetic head and disk . Toshiba’s new MK1634GAL family of 1.8-inch HDDs is equipped with PATA interface, 4200 RPM rotational speed and acoustic reduction functionality making it ideal for audio and video playback applications which demand high storage with a small form factor and at the same time with a quiet operation.
